Miami Twp. Crash Backs Up Interstate Traffic

Posted: 5:34 pm EST November 8, 2009Updated: 5:57 pm EST November 8, 2009

A crash involving a pick-up truck forced law enforcement to shut down two lanes of Interstate 75 on Sunday.

The crash happened along southbound lanes of 75 near the Interstate 675 exit ramp in Miami Township.

Law enforcement said the driver of the pick-up truck was towing a trailer when the person lost control of the vehicle. Officials said a semi went by the pick-up truck prior to the crash, causing a gust of wind that caused the trailer to shift.

That’s when the driver lost control and the truck flipped.

The crash left traffic backed up for at least 1 mile.

No one was hurt in the crash.
