Deputies: Alcohol Involved In Shelby Co. Crash

Alcohol is believed to be a factor is an early Monday morning crash that sent a driver to a hospital.

The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 66 and Russia-Houston Road in Houston.

Investigators said a pickup truck, driven by Terry Didier, 46, who lives near Piqua, ran off the road and slammed head-on into a tree.

Careflght took Didier to Miami Valley Hospital with face and leg injuries. He injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Deputies said Didier admitted that he had been drinking and was just minutes from home with the crash happened.

The crash remains under investigation.
