The driver of a pickup truck, transporting pharmaceuticals, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree Friday morning in Troy.

The crash happened in the 400 block of W. Main St. in front of the Troy-Miami County Public Library.

Police said a package with a vial containing nuclear medicine was breached, but no leakage of the nuclear medicine occurred.

A representative from the pharmaceutical company came to the scene to take control of the medicines.

The driver of the delivery truck, Lawrence Ruble, 59, of Kettering, was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center near Troy to be treated for injuries.

At this time, it is unknown why Ruble lost control.
