Homeless Receive Free Thanksgiving Dinner

DAYTON, Ohio -- A free Thanksgiving dinner was provided Thursday to hundreds of people in need from several shelters around the Miami Valley.The people were transported to and from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dayton with assistance from Wright State University’s School of Medicine.The church is a year around site for The Drop In Center, and with the help of the university and several grants, it provides HIV/Aids testing, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and counseling for families in need with substance abuse issues.The church also offers a food pantry and clothing pantry for local families. The dinner was free and also featured a give-a-ways and prizes for those who attended.
