Officers said a wanted man who has been on the run may be back in town and could be in a local neighborhood.

The man is wanted in connection with firing bullets in to the home of an innocent family of five.

The shooting happened in April in Riverside. The suspect has been on the run since then, and police believe he may be hiding out in the Dayton region.

Det. Matthew Sturgeon said, “We are looking for Ryon Johnson. He goes by the nickname Boog.”

“He’s distinctive to the fact that he is an albino black male, “Sturgeon said.

Investigators said Johnson is wanted on charges of trafficking heroin, felonious assault and shooting into a habitation.

Police said Johnson may be the man who fired shots into a Bushnell Avenue home last April. A couple and their three children were sleeping inside.

Sturgeon said, “Mr. Johnson is dangerous and we’re asking for the city and the county to help us out with locating him and getting him off the street.”

Police said Johnson actually was not shooting at the home, but rather the man in front of it.

Investigators said Chris Decker, who is already in prison, had robbed Johnson of drugs earlier in the night. Out of revenge, police said they believe that Johnson opened fire on Decker.

Sturgeon said, “The whole thing wraps around the world of narcotics.”

If you have any information on where Johnson is, contact police at 333-COPS.
