AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio -- A Wapakoneta man was killed in a one-vehcile crash late Wednesday night west of Uniopolis in Auglaize County along Townline-Lima Road just south of State Route 67.

According to troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Joseph C. Sparks, 29, was pronounced dead in the emergency room of Lima Memorial Hospital.

Troopers said he lost control of his van, went airborne, flipped over and came to rest on its side. Troopers said they suspect that alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.

Sparks was along in the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt.
