Armed Robbers Arrested In Indiana

Officers from the Indiana State Police and Henry County Sheriff's Office captured two men suspected of armed robbery in a house near an elementary school.

John Evans, 19, of 4432 Viking Trail and John T. Riddle, 21, of New Castle, Ind., were turned over to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office in connection with the robbery of the Corner Market Store in Losantville around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A Henry County deputy saw an orange truck that matched the description of the getaway vehicle used in the robbery about a half-mile south of Blue River Valley Elementary on Viking Trail Road. When officers arrived, they saw the truck pulling into a driveway and arrested both suspects after a short chase on foot, the Henry County Sheriff's Office said.

The school delayed dismissal for a short time while until officers had the suspects in custody.
