HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Deputies in Harrison Township said some tried to rob two elderly women in the parking lot of a local restaurant.

The robbery happened at the Lee’s Famous Recipe Restaurant in the 1400 block of North Main Street.

The women called 911 and told dispatchers that the man kept his hands in his pockets and acted like he had a weapon.

Deputies caught up with the women around 11 p.m. Thursday and they were not injured. They said they were just a bit shook up.

The women told deputies that the robber took their purses, but he only got away with a small amount of cash. The women were more worried about their driver licenses and other items that were in their purses.

Deputies continue to look for the robber who is described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing blue jeans, a blue and white striped shirt and a gray jacket.

A K-9 searched the area, but found nothing.
