Suspect In WSU Stabbing Found Guilty

XENIA, Ohio -- Chi Quang Du was found guilty of attempted aggravated murder by a Greene Count jury around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.Chi Quang Du appeared in court on Monday morning and made the plea agreement in connection with stabbing 21-year-old Thuy Mai. He was on trial Thursday for one count of attempted aggravated murder in connection with stabbing Mai’s friend, 23-year-old Eric Borton.Police said Du stabbed Mai and Borton as they were coming out of the Wright State University Library.Authorities were unable to arrest Du in connection with the stabbings because they could not find him. He turned up in Canada in January 2009.Greene County investigators Mark Adkins said, “A lot of time and effort went into trying to conceal his identity, but we located him with the help of 'America’s Most Wanted.'Du has stayed quiet about the case ever since he was brought back to the Miami Valley.
