John Travolta Makes Inventing Flight Visit

WPAFB, Ohio -- The Inventing Flight celebration has caused a number of people to make a special trip to Dayton and Tuesday night, one of Hollywood's biggest stars visited the Miami Valley.
John Travolta touched down at Wright Patterson Air Force Base piloting his own private 707 jet.
The actor and pilot shook hands and showed off his jet to Air Force generals and former Senator and astronaut John Glenn.
Travolta was in town to receive an honor from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
The organization awarded Travolta the Foundation Award for Excellence.
He earned the honor for his contributions and promotions of commercial flying especially right after Sept. 11.
Former astronauts John Glenn and Buzz Aldrin were also in attendance Tuesday night at the black tie event.
Travolta flew back home on Tuesday night, but he is expected back this weekend for closing ceremonies.
