Highway Shootings Investigation

Police say they've interviewed several people about a series of highway shootings around Columbus and have cleared all of them to date.

Chief Detective Steve Martin of the Franklin County Sheriff's

Department says police have brought people in several times for lie

detector tests.

He says he doesn't know a specific number but says all have

passed the test.

Police are investigating a string of 18 shootings on or near a

stretch of Interstate 270 on the south side of Columbus.

One shooting in November killed a 62-year-old woman on her way

to a doctor's appointment.

Police have received more than 27-hundred tips and are offering

a 40-thousand dollar reward.
