Overpass Shooting Linked To Highway Shooting Spree

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Another shooting has been tied to the series of shootings in the Columbus area. There are total of 20 shootings that investigators are looking into.The latest shooting happened several miles away from most of the others that have occurred in the area of Interstate 270 on the city's south side over the past several months.Franklin County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Steve Martin said the shooting happened early Thursday morning on Interstate 71 about seven miles south of I-270.He said the link is based on evidence recovered at the scene and it's relationship to evidence recovered previously.One person has been killed in the shootings. It was a passenger in a car who was on her way to a doctor's appointment in November.
