Another Bullet Linked To Highway Shootings

Posted: 4:24 pm EST February 6, 2004Updated: 4:32 pm EST February 6, 2004

Columbus authorities said the highway shooter has apparently moved south into another county.

Sheriff's deputies said the windshield of a van traveling along Interstate 71 in Madison County was hit by a bullet on Tuesday. The driver was not injured.

The bullet is a ballistics match to 20 other shootings that have happened along Interstate 270 in Franklin County. One woman was killed in November as a result of one of those shootings.

Police said law enforcement patrols will now be increased in the two counties.
