COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The following is a timeline of the serial highway shootings:May 10, 2003 -- first shooting along the southern belt of I-270 near Columbus
August 31, 2003 – a horse trailer was struck traveling eastbound of I-270
October 11, 2003 – a bullet ripped through a car's side panel and exited through a window
November 11, 2003 – a window was shot out at Hamilton Central Elementary School in Columbus near I-270
November 25, 2003 -- a sniper killed Gail Knisley, 62, on Interstate 270
February 8, 2004 – two cars were struck along I-71 near Jeffersonville
February 14, 2004 -- ballistics match a bullet used in a Licking County shooting
February 18, 2004 -- van struck by bullet in Pickaway County
March 15, 2004 -- Federal authorities release name and picture of accused sniper suspect
March 17, 2004 -- Charles McCoy, Jr. was taken into custody at a Las Vegas motel
March 20, 2004 -- McCoy arrives back in Columbus after waiving extradition in Las Vegas
March 22, 2004 -- Charles McCoy is expected for his first court appearance in Columbus, but does not appear.
April 1, 2004 -- Charles A. McCoy charged with murder in the November death of Gail Knisley.
April 5, 2004 -- McCoy pleads not guilty in a Franklin County courtroom.
