Authorities in Columbus will once again be on the lookout for the serial highway shooter this weekend. Investigators have continued to examine evidence that they have collected in connection with 24 shootings over the course of the past year.

So far, they have investigated shootings along Interstate 270 on the southern side of Columbus and most recently near the Jeffersonville outlet mall on Interstate 71 in Fayette County.

Witnesses have been able to give authorities a description of a person and a vehicle that may be involved in the shootings.

Authorities have also been advised to step up patrol along Ohio's highways. They are also asking motorists to be more aware of their surroundings when traveling throughout the state.

If you see anything that may appear to be suspicious, contact them at 614-462-4646.
