Highway Shooter Strikes Again Saturday Morning

Ballistics tests have confirmed that a shooting Saturday in Licking County is the 24th in a series of highway shootings in the Columbus area. The task force investigating the shootings says Sunday a bullet recovered from a Chevy Suburban about 17 miles east of Columbus matches eight other bullets, including the one that killed a woman in November.

The other shootings have been matched by other factors, including location and circumstances. No one was injured when a the vehicle was struck Saturday on Interstate 70.

Witnesses saw a white man in his 30s fire a handgun from an overpass. He had a small dark sedan. Saturday's shooting is the farthest east in the series.
