SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A 2-year-old Springfield boy is recovering Wednesday night after police said he pulled a pan of grease off the stove. The incident happened around 5 p.m. in the 1300 block of Broadway.

Careflight took the boy to Children's Medical Center. Authorities said he suffered first and second degree burns over 50 percent of his body.

Springfield police said they are investigating this as an accident.
