Health Officials Warn Of Contaminated Creek

PIKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Health and fire officials are warning Clark County residents to keep away from a Pike Township creek for 48 hours. They said a mysterious white foam appeared in the creek early Friday morning.
Investigators believe a chemical spill from a nearby fertilizer company along Detrick-Jordan Pike may have caused the mysterious foam. They are also conducting tests to determine exactly what the chemical is.Officials from Springfield's hazmat team and Emergency Management Agency are trying to determine how much damage has been made to the creek.They said the water flows to Donnells Creek and into the Mad River.
