Nearly eight years after her disappearance, federal and state authorities are searching for the body of Carrie Culberson on the property of a Brown County home.

Carrie CulbersonDespite the fact that Carrie's body was never found, her former boyfriend, Vincent Doan, was convicted of killing her and is now serving life in prison.

Carrie's family, however, has been holding out hope that her body would be found.

The FBI, The Ohio State Patrol and the Clermont County Sheriff's Office are searching the property of a friend of Doan.

Authorities said they began the search after receiving a credible tip that Carrie's body could be buried under the cement floor of a pole barn. However, authorities would not confirm that.

During a press conference, authorities said they have not found anything. They said they will continue the search and they could be at the property for some time.

Carrie's mother, Debbie Culberson, said rumors of her body being buried under the concrete have been circulating for years. She said she is not sure what information led authorities to the Brown County property.

Investigators said they have a search warrant, but it is sealed and they refuse to discuss the details.
