Teacher Loses Job Over Nude Model Controversy

DAYTON, Ohio -- One local school has experienced nudity inside their building and now a photography teacher is without a job.NewsCenter 7 has learned that an adjunct teacher at Stivers brought in a nude model for students to photograph without the school's permission.According to school officials, the teacher asked the principal for permission to bring the model in, but the request was denied. However, the teacher brought the model in after school in the evening.Superintendent Percy Mack said the district does not support that kind of behavior and it is not part of the curriculum.School officials said the teacher is a professional in the field of photography and that is why he was asked to teach, but after the nude model incident, he is no longer employed by the district.The teacher had been employed with the school for four years.
