Miami County K-9 Retiring From Duty

TROY, Ohio -- Barry, a K-9 unit with the Miami County sheriff's office is retiring on Thursday.Aches and pains for the dog is forcing Barry's retirement after 10 years of service. Barry is suffering from arthritis.Barry will remain on duty with handler Dep. Tina Waymire until his replacement arrives from overseas and is ready to go on duty.This week the Miami County commissioners passed a resolution authorizing the sale of Barry to Waymire for $1.00.
