Residents Concerned Over Activity Inside Private Club

Community activists who are against adult entertainment in their neighborhood have gone after a private club.

Residents in Harrison Township said they want to get the word out about the Dayton Swim and Social Club, saying it is a swinger’s club.

A group of residents and church leaders protested on Sunday and prayed about the club. They claim that the club encourages group sex, partner-swapping and unsafe sex.

However, as far as the law is concerned, those protests may fall on deaf ears.

One local resident said the club’s activities often spill out into their neighborhood. She said neighbors have found condoms thrown all over their neighborhood.

The club is a private facility and their Website claims they have been number one for 20 years. Also, the Website provides a list of rules that customers must follow, including throwing condoms out before they leave.

Harrison Township residents have had some success in the past working with township trustees to help crack down on some other adult businesses in the area.

They plan to share their concerns with trustees again. However, the private club may not fall under the townships sexually-oriented business regulations.
