A woman is rushed to Miami Valley Hospital after being injured during a fire in a Fairborn home Friday evening.

Fire broke out in the home in the 200 block of State Street shortly before 6:00.

A neighbor says he happened to be glancing out the window at the falling snow, when he noticed smoke coming from the house across the street and called 911.

Investigators say when they arrived on the scene they discovered heavy fire in the living room area.

They say once they put the fire out, they found a woman in an adjacent bedroom area.

She was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital where she was in serious condition.

Investigators say they believe a space heater inside the home caused the fire.
