Posted: 10:46 am EDT May 3, 2005

A high school student could face criminal charges for allegedly writing racial slurs on a bathroom wall at his school.

The graffiti was found inside a restroom at Vandalia High School last week. Police said a confederate flag, racial slurs and two men hanging were drawn on the wall, along with the names of two African-American students.

Authorities said a 17-year-old student reportedly confessed to the crime. He could face ethnic intimidation charges.
