DAYTON, Ohio -- A man in Dayton is fighting for his life after he was carjacked overnight. The carjacking happened shortly after midnight in the parking lot of the VFW on West Third Street.

Police said the victim and another man were walking out of the VFW when two armed men came up to them. They said the gunmen stole cash and jewelry from the victims, and then shot one of the men and took off in his car.

Officers found the men they believe stole the car in a nearby wooded area. They also found the gun that is suspected of being used in the incident.

The victim is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
