Deputies Searching For Culprit In Home Shooting
Deputies have released a composite drawing of a woman wanted in connection with a shooting in a Harrison Township home last month.
Investigators said the victim allowed the woman into her Lynnaway Drive home on June 24th after the culprit told the homeowner her car had broken down and she needed help.
Once inside, the woman shot the victim twice then fled the home possibly getting into a blue 1985 Pontiac.
Cruiser cameras actually caught the car on tape as deputies were arriving, but at the time, they had no idea for whom or for what kind of car they were looking.
Deputies called it a case of a failed robbery attempt.
Now, detectives said they have a new lead--a composite sketch.
They said the victim, who is now recovering, was able to work with an artist to develop the picture.
The shooter is described as a thin white woman with dyed blonde hair.
Detectives hope the woman or the car are recognized and so does the victim's family. They are offering a $5,000 dollar cash reward for any information that leads to the woman's arrest and conviction.
Detectives have been knocking on a lot of doors in the area talking to people with similar-looking cars, but they've had no luck.
They believe the shooter could be from Miami County or Clark County.
If you have any information, you're asked to call the Montgomery County detective on this case at 225-4072.
