Riverside Home Burglarized; Suspects Captured

A man in Riverside woke up Wednesday to the sound of burglars breaking into his home.

Authorities said the man pretended to stay asleep while the burglars went from room to room stealing valuables. It happened at a home on Community Drive in Riverside.

Police said the men were captured minutes after the crime. Officer said the men were seen a few blocks from the home with the stolen items.

Authorities said one of the suspects argued with police about his arrest. The other sat calmly in the back of the cruiser.

Officers said the men were hauling the stolen merchandise in a red children's wagon, which is also reportedly stolen from the home.

Jenny Lee lives in the home that was burglarized. She said that her son was asleep in the house when the men broke in.

Bill Lee is relieved that he was able to get his stolen property back, which included watches, jewelry, coins and several shotguns.

Police said the two men may have committed the crime to support a drug habit. At this time, the two face charges of burglary, according to police.
