XENIA, Ohio -- There's yet another chapter in the tale of the Greene County bears. Seven bears were seized from David Walker's Xenia property back in March 2004. Then, Xenia Municipal Court ordered Walker to pay for the care and feeding of the bears after they were taken away. Now, the Second District Court of Appeals ruled Walker should get his bears back and he's not responsible for the bill for their care after they were taken. Walker said his bears were relocated to places all over the country, three are at the New Jersey Zoo.Walker has now filed a lawsuit against several Xenia officials. The suit demands at least $25,000 plus attorney fees and an order to return his animals. The judge who presided over the case in Xenia Municipal Court has not commented on the Appeals Court ruling.
