FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Authorities are trying to figure out if there is a connection between an unsolved rape near the Dayton Mall and the most recent attack of two women inside a Franklin Township model home in Warren County.Warren County detectives are looking into that possibility as they wait for the results of DNA analysis.According to investigators, the two women were sexually assault. One of the victims told the dispatcher that her attacker threatened to kill her and her friend. Fearing for their lives, they escaped through a basement window to a nearby home.Detectives said they are waiting on evidence in the home to be processed in hopes of identifying a suspect.Investigators said they are looking to see if the Warren County rapes are connected to nine unsolved attacks in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Authorities said one of the nine attacks happened near the Dayton Mall at the Authorized Cellular and Paging store in March of 2004.Officials said the clerk was tied up, robbed and raped. DNA from that crime matches six of the unsolved attacks in the tri-state area. The FBI issued sketches in 2004 of the suspects in those unsolved cases. Each time, the suspect was described as having distinctive blue eyes, just like the suspect in the most recent attack in Warren County.
