BURLINGTON, Ky. -- Authorities in Warren County said their search is over for a man deputies said raped and robbed two women inside a model home last weekend. On Thursday, authorities in Kentucky arrested David Hopper near his home in Burlington.Investigators said Hopper closely matches a composite picture that was released after a violent rape and robbery last Saturday in Franklin Township. Authorities in Kentucky said they were tipped off after Hopper tried to sell rings and jewelry belonging to the rape victims.Officials said an employee at a pawn shop in Newport, Ky., contacted deputies in Warren County about the jewelry. Authorities said the victims went and identified the jewelry as theirs.Throughout the course of the investigation, authorities released several photos, including a composite sketch of the assailant, the vehicle that he may have been driving and surveillance video from inside a local convenience store that was within walking distance to the home where the attacks took place.Authorities in Boone County, Ky., went to Hopper’s home to arrest him. They said he attempted to run from deputies, but was later captured at a nearby business.Investigators in the Miami Valley want to know if Hopper may be connected to an incident that happened at a Cellular store near the Dayton Mall a few years ago.At this time, authorities are not sure when Hopper will be brought back to Warren County to face charges.
