DAYTON, OHio -- A Detroit newspaper is reporting that General Motors will soon offer retirement incentives. The incentives range from $35,000 to more than $100,000 to nearly all of its 113,000 employees. This is being considered as part of the company’s downsizing. The reports said GM is expected to make the offers to workers in three categories: those with more than 30 years or more of service, those with between 27 and 30 of service and to nearly all of its lowest seniority blue-collar workers. The results are expected to impact all of the GM and Delphi workers in the Dayton area.
