General Motors is laying off several hundred salaried workers around the country.

NewsCenter 7 has learned that no local workers will be eliminated in this round of layoffs.

GM announced Tuesday that it will cut fewer than 500 factory and engineering workers at 30 locations. No salaried employees at the Moraine Truck and Bus plant will be affected by Tuesday’s announcement.

The company has said it plans to cut 7 percent of its white-collar workforce of 36,000 by the end of the year. GM has about 3,800 salaried employees in Ohio.
