Father Wants Answers After Son's Death
Tuesday, July 4, 2006
DAYTON, Ohio -- A father said he wants answers after finding out investigators will not charge anyone with his son's death.
William Abrams II, age 33, was shot to death in March outside his Burkhardt Avenue apartment after a fight with his girlfriend.
Police said the girlfriend called her ex-husband for help.
The ex showed up and shot Abrams in the chest after Abrams came at him with a knife, police said.
Prosecutors said they met with Abrams father and told him the shooting was in self-defense.
Prosecutors said they will keep the case open, and if there's any new evidence, they may reconsider new charges.
