A job fair is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today in Monroe for Kohl’s area distribution center.

Kohl’s Department Stores plans to hire 1,200 seasonal warehouse workers for its e-commerce fulfillment center in anticipation of a busy holiday shopping season, according to the company. The hiring event is on site at the center Tuesday, 3500 Salzman Road, Monroe, in Butler County.

Interviews will be conducted onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The distribution center, which fills Internet orders, is hiring for all shifts in its 24-hour a day, seven day a week operation. Most positions will begin in October and run through the early part of next year.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift 30 pounds. Prospective employees are asked to bring valid photo identification to the hiring event.

The distribution center typically employs between 850 and 1,000 people, according to the company.
