1 Injured After Being Struck By Car In Darke Co.

DARKE COUNTY —

Deputies in Darke County said they were called to a two-vehicle accident late Wednesday night.

The crash happened around 11:25 p.m.. on Horatio-Creek Road east of Arcanum-Bears Mill Road..

Deputies said Tyler Hart, 23, of Bradford, was headed eastbound on Horatio-Creek Road riding a 2003 Manco Scooter and had run out of gas. They said he was sitting stationary along the side of the road.

Investigators said Hart’s mother brought him gas and as he was putting the gas into his scooter, he was struck by a car. The car was driven by Ashley Richardson, 17, of Bradford.

Emergency crews from Gettysburg were dispatched to the scene. Hart was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight. His condition is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
