One person died in a Monday morning crash in northern Montgomery County.

The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Rangeline and Montgomery County Line roads near Clayton. Authorities said a car traveling southbound on Rangeline Road either failed to stop at a stop sign or pulled out in front of a pickup truck traveling on County Line Road.

The driver of the car, an unidentified woman, was killed when the pickup truck collided into the side of the car, authorities said.

Two people were in the truck at the time of the crash. Neither were injured.

It’s unknown what caused the crash. Authorities said there was some patchy fog in the area at the time of the crash, but witnesses said the intersection appeared clear.
