MIAMI TWP. —

A man died at the hospital Monday night after being shot multiple times inside an apartment and police continue to look for the shooter.

Police and emergency crews responded at approximately 9:45 p.m. to the 9300 block of Eastbrook Drive.

Miami Twp. Sgt. Scott C. Fitzgerald said officers found a man shot multiple times inside an apartment there. The victim was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 44-year-old Terence M. Williams at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said the apartment is that of his fiance and her three children. Two of the children are twins, and are 12 years old. The younger child is 10-years-old. Police said they were in the apartment when the shooting happened, but may not have seen it. They are now in the custody of their father.

The woman called police and reported the shooting.

“We think there’s at least one other person involved,” Fitzgerald said. “I’m not quite convinced this was a domestic dispute.”

A man suffering a gunshot wound to the arm also showed up at Miami Valley Hospital.

Fitzgerald said detectives will be talking to that man, whom they believe was in the apartment with the victim.
