HOUSTON, Ohio —

Deputies in Shelby County are investigating a home invasion that happened on Tuesday night.

Investigators said deputies were dispatched to 5265 Houston Road after a 911 call came in and reported that an unknown male had entered the residence and displayed a knife.

Authorities said the investigation revealed that there were two individuals at the address that had gained entry into the house, without permission, when a resident in the home answered a knock on the door.

Randall Aistrop, 45, allegedly entered the home and claimed that his vehicle had broken down and requested a ride to Piqua. Investigators said when the residents refused Aistrop allegedly displayed a knife and threatened them. Deputies said Aistrop attempted to stab Paul Driscoll.

Investigators said the second individual, Brian Thomas, 29, also entered the house uninvited and ordered the residents to comply with Aistrop’s demands.

Deputies said when the residents continued to refuse, Thomas allegedly assaulted Michael Driscoll.

Investigators said Aistrop and Thomas were taken into custody and charged with aggravated burglary.
