CEDARVILLE —

Two people were injured Friday when a minivan collided with a semi tractor trailer on Ohio 72 near Federal Road.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Two people in the minivan were taken by life squad to Greene Memorial Hospital, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. Their injuries were not considered life threatening.

The investigating trooper said the minivan was traveling south around a corner and hit a slippery spot in the road, going left of center and striking the semi.

The minivan ended up off the road with the front end buried in snow. The tractor trailer remained on the roadway and appeared to have some front-end damage.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash.

The trooper said there has been a lot of snow drifting over the roads, causing some slick spots.
