MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —
Two inmates in the Miami County jail are charged with robbery after allegedly beating up another prisoner and stealing a 12 oz. bag of barbeque cornchips. The jailhouse victim recently purchased the chips from the jail commissary for $2.95.
According to court records, Steven Herron of Piqua and Christopher Combs, address-at-large, were charged with a second degree felony robbery. Both were arraigned Tuesday morning in Miami County Municipal Court. Their cash bonds were set at $5,000 each.
Now, if convicted as currently charged, they both could face a maximum of 8 years in prison and a fine as high as $15,000
