2 people in custody after multiple break-ins

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —

Police arrested two men early Monday after they are suspected of breaking into at least four different convenience stores.

Officers said the men targeted the businesses throughout Montgomery County and officers were able to track who they believe may be responsible near Milestone in New Lebanon.

The suspects are believed to have broken into the Railroad Express Drive Thru and Carryout, 110 S. Riverview Ave., in Miamisburg. After breaking into that business, police believe the suspects travelled to Germantown, where two gas stations were broken into.

The Shell station, 1341 W. Market St., and BP station, 114 E. Market St., both were targeted, according to police.

After breaking into the two Germantown businesses, the suspects reportedly travelled north to the Farmersville area, where they broke into the Sunoco station, 363 N. Elm Street.

A Jackson Twp. police officer spotted the suspects and their vehicle as they left the Sunoco station and began following the vehicle. Police eventually located the vehicle at Milestone in New Lebanon and the suspects bailed from the vehicle.

A K-9 unit was able to track down both suspects and they were taken into custody.
