2 Teens Accused Of Kroger Carjacking

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Police said two teens are in the Montgomery County Jail, accused in a violent carjacking in a Kroger store parking lot.

Investigators said the two teens stole the car at gunpoint while dumping another stolen car. This was the second Kroger carjacking in the Dayton are in less than a week.

The first carjacking happened in Harrison Township last Thursday, and the carjacking on Tuesday morning happened at the Kroger store in Miami Township.

The two men have been identified as Anthony Berry Jr. and Dallas Henry who are both teenagers.

According to officers, the two first carjacked one vehicle on Monday night and then took it to the Kroger store on West Alex Bell, dropped it off and stole another one.

Police said the men held a gun to the car owner’s head and took toward Dayton. That is when officers with Dayton police spotted the men.

Police reports said the men rammed a cruiser and then hopped out and started to run. However, the two teens were taken into custody on Prescott Drive.

Authorities said they have not officially connected the two teens to last week’s Kroger carjacking, however, they said they suspect the men are involved in several other similar crimes.

Sgt. Jerry Adams said, “Hopefully we can tie these young men to the robberies and put them away for a very long time.”
