3 Arrested In Separate Child Endangering Cases

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio —

Springfield police said they are working separate child endangering cases that happened just hours apart.

Police said three people were too intoxicated to care for their own children.

Concerned residents called 911, prompting visits by police and ended with their arrests.

The most recent happened Tuesday night just before midnight when police got a 911 about a fight on Murray Street. The caller said, "There's been a lot of screaming and yelling and it sounds like the little girl's being hit or beat. She's screaming right now."

Police said that call escalated and the caller actually heard glass breaking in the home. "Their daughter is freaking out and trying to get her sister out and they're not coming out and you hear glass breaking," said the caller.

Police said when they arrived, they found Bradley Adkins and Kimberly Martin very intoxicated. Two young girls told officers they were trying to get away from the fighting.

Officers found a fish tank shattered and several other items thrown about inside the house. Adkins and Martin were arrested and charged with two counts each of child endangering.

In another case Monday night, officers got a call from the father of two children on Stanton Ave. He claimed his daughters told him they were afraid of their mother, Pamela Fraley, because she was drunk.

Police found Fraley outside the home slurring her words and smelling of alcohol. .

Neighbor, Tonya Williams said she is trying to help Fraley get her life in order. "She's not a bad parent at all," said Williams. "They're good girls. They're good people, they just have issues."

All three face up to six months in jail on each child endangering charge. Fraley remains in the Clark County Jail, while Adkins and Martin are free on bond.
