MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —

On March 11, 2013 Miami County deputies and detectives arrested three subjects on associated charges and incarcerated them into the Miami County Jail.  Investigators have been working for several months on the investigation which centered on residential burglaries in and out of Miami County.

The investigation culminated with the arrests of the three suspects and search warrants being issued for Jason S. Vencil’s residence located at 100 Emerick Rd., West Milton, Ohio along with his vehicle, a white 2006 Ford Expedition (SUV).

Investigators recovered stolen firearms, televisions, and other articles typically stolen during residential burglaries.  Some of the recovered articles were traced to residential burglaries in Warren County which had occurred earlier in the day.  Other articles have been traced to burglaries that have occurred in Miami County.  Warren County Sheriff’s detectives also assisted in the search warrants.  The investigation is on-going and more charges are expected against the suspects as they are believed involved in multiple residential burglaries throughout the Miami Valley.

Jason S. Vencil of  West Milton is charged with 3 counts of felony receiving stolen property.

Anthony J. Smedley of Riverside is charged with having a weapon while under disability.

Frederick T. Lightfoot  of Dayton is charged with having a weapon while under disability.
