Greenfield Police have issued a missing child alert for a teenager believed to be in danger.

The advisory is in effect for the state of Ohio and is not an Amber Alert, officials said. Police are looking for Britni Shey Mess, 17, who was last seen Dec. 28 at 671 Mckell Ave.

Mess may be en route to Dayton to Indiana with a male companion, officials said. She is 5’4”, white and weight about 150 pounds. Her hair is brown and shoulder-length. She wears glasses.

Law enforcement continues to investigate all leads. Because of the concern for Britni’s welfare, law enforcement is asking for assistance from the public. Britni’s may be in route to Indiana or Dayton, Ohio with a male companion.
