Fire officials said that construction workers were at the property Monday morning doing some welding, which may have possibly sparked the fire. Firefighters said the fire was hard to put out because it was located in different, difficult locations.

According to fire officials, firefighters had mutliple flare ups of the fire. At this time, there is no word on what started it.

The abandoned warehouse was slated for demolition. It is the site of the new Tech-Town development in Dayton.
