Amber Alert Canceled; 2-Year-Old Found Safe

URBANA, Ohio —

Authorities in Champaign County have canceled an Amber Alert that was issued Thursday morning for a 2-year-old girl. Her name is Mary Jane Vibbert.

Investigators said the child’s biological mother, Elsie Vibbert, took the child from the biological grandmother's home in St. Paris, who had custody of the child. Police said the mother was stopped on E. Main Street in Van Wert, where the biological father lives.

Authorities said the issued the Amber Alert because they were concerned about the child because of the mother's history of drug abuse.
