DAYTON —

Two people were transported to local hospitals after a car and a private ambulance collided at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Catalpa Drive Saturday morning.

Police and medics responded to the crash around 12:45 a.m.

Witnesses said the driver of the Jaguar involved was driving south on Catalpa, when the ambulance and the Jaguar crashed into each other at the intersection.

Both the driver of the ambulance and the Jaguar were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

No word on who was at fault in the crash, but witnesses said the driver of the Jaguar may have been speeding.

Officers are continuing to investigate the crash.
