Arcanum police investigate pharmacy burglary

ARCANUM, Ohio —

Police in Arcanum are investigating the burglary of a local pharmacy and theft of some drugs.

The burglary happened on Aug. 23 around 3:50 a.m. at Kaup Pharmacy, which is located inside Sutton's Supermarket on North Main Street.

ARCANUM: Police need help in solving drug store burglary

Investigators said a person entered the pharmacy after prying open the drive-through window. The individual took a substantial amount of low-grade narcotics, along with some other prescription medicines.

According to police, the person is possibly a female who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall, has a thin build with a light blue/purple mask covering his/her face and wearing a white/light gray hooded sweatshirt inside out. Police said the person was also wearing tan cargo pants, dark gloves with a yellow logo and gray shoes with black toes.

Officers said a suspicious vehicle that was seen in the area appeared to be a black or dark-colored GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade.
