Army Spc. Jesse Snow Laid To Rest

FAIRBORN, Ohio —

Army Spc. Jesse Snow, of Fairborn, was laid to rest Tuesday morning after he was killed Nov.14 in Afghanistan during a firefight with enemy forces.

Snow’s body returned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base last week. He is a graduate of Fairborn High School.

On Monday night, hundreds of people gathered at the school for his visitation and to pay tribute to the local hero.

Dozens of Patriot Guard members were also on hand Monday night to honor Snow.

Family and friends gathered Tuesday morning at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fairborn to say their last goodbyes to Snow.

He was then taken to Bryon Cemetery for burial with full military honors.

Last week, News Center 7 talked with Snow’s father, John Snow Sr., who said, “We loved our son and we’re going to miss him dearly. But I’m proud of what he did.”

He went on to say that his son died doing what he loved and that everyone needs to know that.
